This tool tracks income-focused ETFs, closed-end funds (CEFs), stocks, and REITs, and helps you think through how a small, regular investment might be allocated across them. Here's what each tab shows and how to read it.
Every holding is grouped into a category — YieldMax weekly ETFs, 0DTE covered-call ETFs, REX weekly ETFs, and so on — and ranked by annual yield, the percentage of the current share price paid out over a year if the current distribution rate holds. Each card shows:
Tap a card to expand it for a plain-English read on sustainability and the single biggest risk for that specific holding. The amber banner above the grid flags when yields are running above 20% — a level where part of the "yield" is often return of capital rather than pure investment income (see glossary below).
Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) are companies that own or finance income-producing real estate and are legally required to distribute at least 90% of taxable income to shareholders. This tab separates them into:
All entries here pay monthly rather than quarterly, which is why they're grouped separately from the Top 3s tab.
Enter a budget and get a suggested split across three holdings, chosen by a scoring formula that weighs yield, 3-month price trend, and how often the fund pays (weekly payers score higher, since income compounds faster). The "Advisor reasoning" text underneath explains the top pick, flags the highest-risk holding in the mix, and adds a practical note — it's generated from that same scoring logic, not written individually for you. Past recommendations are saved locally so you can compare how allocations have shifted over time.
A watchlist, not a brokerage account — adding a ticker here doesn't buy anything. It's a way to track specific holdings you're following, see their current price and estimated income at your chosen budget, and remove them any time. Everything is stored locally in your browser; nothing is sent anywhere or tied to an account.
Shows the 3-month price trend for everything in My Picks, side by side, so you can see at a glance which tracked holdings have been rising or falling. This reflects price only, not total return — it doesn't add back distributions paid out during that period.
